Sketching Paper
Sketching is every artists bread and butter, this option is an affordable and time-tested choice for a portrait of any sort. I put just as much effort into my pencil pieces as I do my pastel works but money can be saved on the materials and time it takes to develop layers of colour. Pencil sketches will be produced on high-quality sketching paper and will arrive fully mounted and beautifully presented.
Pastel on Pastel Board
These portraits come in rich pastel colour on fully archival professional grade pastel board. Pastel as a medium provides a softness and definition to animal portraits that is unrivalled among other mediums, combined with my layering technique you should get a finish that is seamless and complete with no visible pencil marks much like the finish of oil paint. Pastel board provides a detailed and stable finish to pastel pieces, the benefit of which is versatility in requests for featured backgrounds and alternative poses, as well as easier framing due to the surface already being fused to the board.
