The fourth in the Heritage Print Series, a malamute at rest in the snow, still wearing its harness from the days run. This piece shows the importance of some surprising survival traits in arctic dogs, a malamutes tail must be long enough and fluffy enough to cover the dogs nose and so protect it from frostbite. This sleeping position is part of a malamutes instinctive behaviour and something that can be seen in all sled dog breeds up to this day.
‘Arctic Survival’ is printed on museum quality Giclée paper, they are fully archival, acid free and soft textured. All prints are personally signed and come with a unique number and certificate of authenticity.
